To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, I found these incredible pics taken by NASA.

Green Cleaning
I am a clean freak, I am not however a fan of chemicals. Good thing for me, there are plenty of green alternatives. Did you know that a squirt of Vodka can kill musty cloth smell, it also kills bacteria. I like bringing my lunch with me to work but the tupperware
containers maintain an odor, long after what I have eaten is gone. A solution is to soak the container in a solution of warm water and baking soda. Let’s also not forget my favorite cleaning agent, lemons. The citric acid in lemons makes it a fantastic green option to clean your countertops, sink handles, dishwasher and pots. If I need more of a boost, I just add baking soda. I saw once on HGTV that you can take some lemonade mix to clean out your dishwasher. It has to be plain Lemonade, but I have yet to try this. It’s Easy to Recycle Your Cell Phone
If you are giving someone a cell phone for Christmas or receiving one yourself, then don’t just throw away your phone. You can recycle it. Cell phones are full of precious metals, copper and plastics.
Recycling not only saves energy, but it helps save the environment too. It’s easier than you might think, so don’t think it’s going to be such a chore. You can most likely drop it off at your carrier like Verizon or even at Best Buy.
What are your thoughts on recycling?
